Aspectica is a lifestyle-enhancing product designed to help users gain
self-insight and life balance using tarot, numerology, affirmations, and relationship tools.
In two months, I designed the app, defined its visual identity, and created social media assets to help the team launch an MVP in the tarot and esoteric market.

The Challenge
In 2023, the esoterics app market (fortune-telling/horoscopes) showed steady growth, with market leaders (e.g. Nebula) generating solid revenue. The company tasked me with developing an MVP to test the market potential. The goal was to achieve maximum results with minimal effort.
Problem
Users want to use the product not to get a precise forecast, but to feel that they are making the right decision.
Solution
The product should help users «listen to themselves» rather just show a result.
Problem
Users do not search for just zodiac signs, but want the interpersonal relationships to be explained.
Solution
The product should help interpret results, not only display matches.
Problem
People turn to such products when they want to feel confidence and see harmony in what is happening around.
Solution
The visual language should be balanced and fluid. We can add symbolism and gentle animations to create a smooth and cohesive user experience.
Defining Design Language
To create a mystical atmosphere, the product’s design language is defined by a dark color palette with bright accents and attention-grabbing elements.
The content on the home screen is updated daily in order to maintain user retention. So, I added a feature highlighting life aspects, showing users what to expect today across six key areas.
Personal life
Health
Emotions
Luck
Career
Travel
To maintain user engagement, I optimized a card deck design for the Tarot section that aligns with the overall product style, ensuring a cohesive and immersive experience.
Monetization Driver
One of the most emotionally engaging use cases — love — serves as the main monetization driver, as it naturally captures user interest. I designed a zodiac compatibility feature where detailed results become a key monetization point.
I introduced category-based filtering in the affirmations section to help users find content aligned with their emotional needs. This feature not only enhances personalization, but also serves as a monetization point.
Summary
Within two months, I designed an MVP ready for launch in the esoterics category of the app market.
From the start, the product was designed with cross-platform scalability in mind, allowing for a rapid release on both mobile operating systems in case of an early success.
This project enabled the company to test a new market quickly and cost-effectively.
